Karen grew up in North Vancouver attending North Shore Alliance church. She decided to dedicate her life to ministry in Grade 10 at a Canadian Bible College Youth Conference. She returned back to CBC as a student and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies. In those school years she met Greg, her now husband of 28 years. Greg and Karen are now empty nesters and have been serving at PAC since October of 2018.
Karen has always had a deep passion to disciple and lead kids and parents into having a Biblical world view, walking in the ways of Jesus. Karen has a ministry vision of discipling kids to have a such a deep relationship with God, that as they live their lives, they are empowered by the Holy Spirit to shine the light of Jesus in whatever they do and where ever they go.
Karen understands the importance of parents being the spiritual leaders in their families so she takes great pleasure in leading and equipping parents to raise their kids to following Deuteronomy 6:5-7 mandate: And you must love the lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartledly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
Karen's desire is to see families grow in God’s word and be so deeply transformed by His power that they have hearts that overflow with divine love, joy, and peace!
Some of the fun things that the Linton's like to do as a family are camping, traveling, and taking vacations to Disneyland. Some of Karen's favorite things are golfing, hiking, warm weather, and Starbucks coffee. :)
